This kitchen and family room remodel was transformed into a bright, open, and inviting space that creates the perfect environment for hosting family gatherings.

Client Requirement: Our client wanted to improve the flow and functionality of the kitchen and family room while making the fireplace a central focal point.

Design Solution: We vaulted the ceilings in both spaces to create a more open feel, redesigned the kitchen with a large rectangular island for better workflow, and repositioned the fireplace for a balanced, symmetrical layout.

• Vaulted Ceilings: The soffit ceiling was removed to open up the space, creating an airy, expansive feel. The vaulted ceiling in the family room mirrors that of the kitchen, seamlessly connecting the two areas for a unified, inviting atmosphere.

• Kitchen Island: The original kitchen featured an angular peninsula that hindered workflow. The new design includes a large rectangular island, significantly expanding the countertop space and creating a more functional and spacious cooking environment. 

• Fireplace: In the family room, the fireplace and entertainment center were once cramped in a corner. The new layout removes the angled wall and positions the new fireplace centrally between the wall and full-height cabinetry, creating a balanced, symmetrical focal point.
